During 2025 and 2026, Hotel Europa Company will travel around the country with artistic research residencies for the creation of the show Habitar (Living). In January 2026, the Company will be in Braga to collect testimonies and perspectives on the theme of Housing. This research work aims to gather material for the rehearsal and scriptwriting process, as well as for the critical reflection that will be made about its new documentary theatre show, Habitar.

Habitar aims to portray the housing problem in Portugal and Europe, following the stories of real people: such as people who live in tents because they cannot afford to pay rent, elderly people evicted from the house where they had lived for 30 years, families who cannot rent an apartment, people who share a house with 30 others, housing market experts, estate agents and housing activists. Habitar is a documentary theatre show that seeks to understand the reasons behind and solutions to the most pressing issue facing Portuguese society today.

Note Interviews will last a maximum of 60 minutes and will be recorded in audio format. The time and place for the interviews will be agreed between the company and the interviewee at the time of registration.
