CANTO D’AQUI

Portugal and Galicia join forces once again for the 12th edition of Convergência. The festival will honour José Afonso and Rosalía de Castro with a concert that promises to delight the audience with moments of great involvement and emotion. In 2026, Canto D’Aqui, the mentor of this festival, invites Braga Philharmonic Orchestra for a fusion that brings to the stage the sound of the orchestra’s instruments with the traditional character of Canto D’Aqui‘s instruments, accompanied by the vocal harmony that characterises the group.

This concert will present new themes, with new arrangements and sounds, without forgetting the emblematic themes already well known to the public. Zeca Afonso and Rosalía de Castro, remembered through music and poetry. A way of paying tribute and keeping alive the memory of these two authors who have had such an impact on Portuguese and Galician culture, and whose message lives on to this day.
