Munir, a Syrian writer in exile, travels to a remote island to reflect on a drastic decision. Meanwhile, he is haunted by an enigmatic parable passed down by his mother. In the newfound silence of his isolated refuge, he meets the mysterious Valeska and her rough but loyal son Karl. Though few words are exchanged, simple gestures of kindness begin to overcome mistrust, easing Munir’s burden and reawakening his will to live.
