How to exist between what we inherit and what we envision?
with David Ferreira, Isabel Macedo e Saidatina Khady Dias
Starting from this question, we aim to bring together students, researchers and intercultural mediators to explore what it means to live between inherited legacies and futures in the making. The conversation draws on three distinct perspectives—the university, organisations working with migrant communities, and research on culture and memory—to examine how inherited pasts continue to shape the present: through individual trajectories, the structures that support or constrain us, and the cultural, social and emotional spaces where we imagine what is still possible to build.
This talk is curated by BANTUMEN and will be moderated by journalist Marisa Rodrigues.
