MIT 2026: Hero for a day
Kherson Mykola Kulish Regional Academic Theater of Music and Drama | Veterans’ Theater (Ukraine)
Adapted from Play 22, or the Hero Path by Volodymyr Tuka, this is the story of a war veteran from Kherson who witnessed the occupation, left his home, and went to defend his country in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where he was wounded in combat. On stage, Volodymyr Tuka talks about his journey and how he is preparing to be an entertainer at a children’s party. His military uniform gradually transforms into a clown’s costume, and with that, the atmosphere of the performance also shifts, moving from tragedy to irony and a moving connection with the audience.
