It’s summer vacation. Ten-year-old Claudine leaves Paris with her parents and her three-year-old brother Raoul on a family trip to Sardinia, Italy. Between moments of chaos and boredom, Claudine decides to tell her brother stories about her adventures—that is, when he, in the prime of his childhood, lets her… All of this in an attempt to turn this trip into something absolutely unforgettable, with a touch of humor and a bit of flexibility.

Directed by Sophie Letourneur, who also plays the mother and co-wrote the screenplay with Laetitia Goffi, this family adventure is part of the director’s trilogy, which began with Voyages en Italie (2023) and will conclude with Divorce à l’Italienne. Screened in the ACID section at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, L’AVENTURA was considered one of the ten best films of that year by Cahiers du Cinéma magazine.
