Quando eu morrer, vou fazer filmes no Inferno! (When I die, I'm going to make movies in Hell!) is an intense and provocative work by Mário Coelho. The story takes place in an apparently normal apartment inhabited by a young girl.
“23h33. We're in an apartment, just like any other, inhabited by a young girl. 23:36. A door opens. 10 bodies suddenly enter the room. They start dancing. They inhabit that space as if it were their own. 23:37. The young girl goes into the room, shocked and panicked. She doesn't understand what those strangers are doing in her house. How did they get in? What do they want? She tries to throw them out, but is ignored. 00:00. A nightmare begins that will last. A hereditary tragedy. The search for answers as to why so much shit happens to us.”
Actor, director and playwright, Mário Coelho premiered his first creation, It's possible to breathe underwater, in 2015, and has since staged several of his own creations, including Fuck Me Gently, Se te portares bem, vamos ao McDonald’s! (If you behave, we're going to McDonald's!) and Lisbon Sisters. Mário Coelho is the winner of the 2020 Ageas Teatro Nacional D. Maria II Revelation Award.
