    Traição (Betrayal)
    Harold Pinter

Traição (Betrayal) could be the story of a love triangle written with the British phlegm and unflappable humor of a Londoner. It could be a disquieting comedy about the fragility of love or the photograph revealed in the room of everyday threats. But Traição (Betrayal) is, above all, a life story, the mirror in which the biographical account is contemplated in altered chronology to emphasize the irreversible, an inexorable chronicle of fear. Because that's what love and its consequences can be too. A story of fear: fear of commitment; fear of disappointment; fear of abandonment; fear of uncertainty; fear of the fatigue of emotional bonds. Written over the course of 1978, in Traição (Betrayal) are defined: sobriety in the dialogues, an atmosphere of laconic calm, but one in which a river of hidden emotions is concealed, unbridled motivations, vanities, self-deception, the use of cold, dry, cultivated language...
English. Traição (Betrayal) is also a biographical confession. The extramarital affair that Harold Pinter, the 2005 Nobel Prize winner for Literature, had for seven years with a BBC presenter. But this would only be relevant if
these personal gaps weren't the foundation on which the British author was able to build a play that will live on in the history of theater.

    Author Harold Pinter
    Directed by Manuel Guede Oliva
    Set design Acácio de Carvalho
Cast Solange Sá, Eduarda Filipa, André Laires and Rogério Boane
