Raquel S./Noitarder
Accessibility Portuguese Sign Language interpretationIt is said that a young actress, in a rehearsal for a play with a Great Actress, confessed her admiration for her. The Great Actress asked if the young actress worked in the theater and she replied that she acted with her. The Great Actress replied: “Is that so? I'll notice.”This show is the result of Raquel S.'s theatrical research, which starts from the life and work of Portuguese actresses from the 19th and 20th centuries to think about what Portuguese theater is, questioning the theater that has been made until today and the theater that is still being made now. It's a visit to the stories and myths, the techniques, the flaws, the image of the Great Actress that remains and fades, the images that history lets disappear, and the images that history chooses. This monologue by Raquel S. claims to be fiction, but it wears the clothes and bodies of the other actresses.Raquel S.Raquel S., born in 1986, is a director, playwright and dramaturg, with a degree in Philosophy and Literary Studies.
