FreeChamber Music Cycle: Trio Inversus
University of Minho
Between May and June, the Music Department of the University of Minho will occupy the Foyer of the Theatro Circo for four recitals. The Inversus Trio, the Quintessence Sextet and the Opus V Quintet will perform major works from the chamber music repertoire from romanticism to the 19th century, playing works by Robert Schumann, Johannes Brahms, Carl Reinecke, Francis Poulenc and Gordon Jacob. In turn, the Percussion Group of the University of Minho brings to the program composers born in the second half of the 20th century, with works by Emmanuel Séjouné, Nigel Westlake, Elliot Cole and Carlos Guedes, highlighting the premiere of JINN, by the Portuguese composer.
