When Laura Rossellini suddenly decided to leave for Rome, taking her children with her, she was convinced that she would never return to Portugal, having left behind, once and for all, “a dead country”. However, about a year later, Laura returns to the house by the sea and, in a pleasant holiday atmosphere, is reunited with what remains of her family and something quite unexpected… The film “refines Monteiro’s contemplative and melancholic style, with a touch of his characteristic sarcasm”.
