A Winged Victory for the Sullen

A Winged Victory for the Sullen returns to Braga following their concert at gnration in 2015. The project, which emerged from a chance encounter in Italy between composers Adam Wiltzie and Dustin O’Halloran, has transcended its original intention as a one-off album to become a global benchmark in ambient and minimalist music.

With a career marked by prestigious collaborations, the duo brings with them the emotional depth of works such as Atomos (2014), written for choreographer Wayne McGregor, and the grandeur of Invisible Cities (2021), a soundtrack for a multidisciplinary work by Leo Warner and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, based on Italo Calvino’s book. Following the critical acclaim of The Undivided Five (2019), which was hailed by NPR as one of the most beautiful albums of our time, the duo returns to showcase the celestial and cinematic power of their music.
