78 years of life. At least 60 of music. The man who
debuted on the legendary label Elenco in 1964 with A Música de Edu Lobo Por Edu
Lobo has made a decisive contribution for the eternal Brazilian songbook which
the world has learned to love. Penning gems such as ‘Upa Neguinho’ or
‘Pra Dizer Adeus’ which luminaries such as Caetano Veloso, Sérgio
Mendes, Maria Bethânia, Marcos Valle or Sarah Vaughan and Earth, Wind &
Fire have insisted in adding to their own repertoires. And in more than 30
original albums, Lobo has asserted a singular vision of bossa nova, and MPB
that is still alive and vibrant. It is precisely that vision that the singer/songwriter
now brings to Portugal alongside Mônica Salmaso, one of its great performers.
