Foreign Women

This is a fragmented work, woven from the real-life stories of women who, driven by war, poverty and violence, were forced to leave their familiar surroundings—their homes, their homelands—in search of a safer life for themselves and their children.

Women torn from their roots against their will, reduced by life to mere numbers on a list of refugees—whether living or dead.

Our work, our theatre, is dedicated to all these women, scattered to the four corners of the world, who no longer have a name or a homeland, who do not belong to any territory, who continue to suffer, to be persecuted, to be scarred. It is for them that we raise our voice. For women without a place — but never without a story.
