In the context of the premiere of We, Alone at Theatro Circo, the monologue written, directed and performed by Sara Barros Leitão, the artist will share the creative process behind the production, placing it in dialogue with other works she has developed from archives and documentary materials.
Sara Barros Leitão (Porto, 1990) is an actress, director and playwright with extensive experience across theatre, film and television. Founder of the company Cassandra and former Artistic Director of Teatro Oficina, she is recognised for acclaimed works such as Monólogo de uma mulher chamada Maria (Monologue of a Woman Called Maria) and was the first recipient of the Teatro Nacional D. Maria II Revelation Award.
The Formas de Fazer (“Ways of Making”) series brings together a programme of activities accompanying selected performances, creating a space for artists and collectives visiting Theatro Circo to share their practices, methodologies and ways of working.
