This is a performance about the perception of modern reality, and thus about boundaries. The play explores the possibility of viewing this reality from two opposing perspectives: 1. The world is virtual, 2. The world is real.

Hamlet is a confrontation between these two opposing views and the process of interaction between them. There are four actors: two men and two women. Hamlet and Ophelia perceive the world as virtual. Hamlet’s mother and stepfather perceive the world as real. Following the collision of these two forms of perception, the representatives of the virtual understanding of the world die physically (Hamlet, Ophelia), whilst the representatives of the real understanding (Hamlet’s mother and stepfather) remain alive. They outlive their own children. This was the starting point for the production, which has since evolved… it is a process.
