MIT Closing Gala and CTB 45th Anniversary Celebrations

At the closing ceremony of the 5th MIT—International Theater Festival—Without Borders and at the conclusion of the celebrations marking the 45th anniversary of the CTB, we will feature a wide array of performances.

We will feature performances by various artists who participated in this edition of the MIT; the awards ceremony will take place, and nine individuals who have collaborated with the Braga Theater Company over the years will be honored.

The evening will culminate with the show De Onde Sopra o Vento? by Carlos Barreto and Mário Delgado—two leading figures in Portuguese jazz.
Carlos Barreto is a double bassist who transcends the limits of his instrument, and Mário Delgado is a guitarist who understands and reveals to us the colors that give sound its character. Distant horizons, improvisation, likely and unlikely songs. Music that is at times enigmatic in how the action might unfold, and at other times clarifying as the created tension fades away.
Music is the theme; the listener decides from where the wind blows.
