ORU KAMI
GariBambi
ORU KAMI draws on the act of folding paper, the gesture that takes shape, the sound the paper makes and the image that is manipulated. Inspired by the Japanese art of origami, this performance offers a world in which the simplest things are perceived as essential, where every crease holds a secret, every shape a meaning and every sheet a message to be unravelled.
In ORU KAMI, music emerges as a thread linking the visible to the invisible; starting from silence, it weaves soundscapes in an intimate aesthetic which, like paper, unfolds between verbal and non-verbal language. Each origami holds within it the possibility of being offered, made to give, and for this reason, ORU KAMI simultaneously offers a space for intergenerational sharing in which small paper figures carry great invisible gifts, delivered with the delicacy of those who know that the essential cannot be spoken – it is folded, shared, felt.
