PARAÍSO

Multidisciplinary

PARAÍSO returns to Braga for another edition dedicated to celebrating Afro-descendant and Lusophone artistic expressions, this time with a special focus on the year marking the 50th anniversary of the independence of Portuguese-speaking African countries.

This year, we propose three programming axes — Art, Thought and Mediation — which give shape to a festival where we listen and think from the margins, from the archives and from the voices that continue to elevate Afro-descendants today.

Thinking of the Afro-descendant artistic universe as a territory in expansion and transformation, PARAÍSO asserts itself as a place to celebrate contemporary creation that is born at the crossroads between past, present and future.
