Sensible Soccers
Camminando di Notte
Sensible Soccers present their new album, Camminando di Notte, in Braga, marking the live debut of their fifth studio record, released by 8mm Records.
Following a series of early releases—including an EP in 2011, Fornelo Tapes Vol. 1 and the single Sofrendo Por Você—the band released their debut album, 8, in 2014, which was highlighted by the Portuguese press as one of the country’s albums of the year. In 2016, they released Villa Soledade, followed by an extensive tour across Portugal and abroad. Aurora followed in 2019, produced by B Fachada. During the pandemic, the group composed new soundtracks for Manoel de Oliveira’s films Douro, Faina Fluvial and O Pintor e a Cidade, a project that resulted in Manoel (2021), the band’s fourth album. Camminando di Notte arrives after the release of two remix EPs featuring reinterpretations by artists including Mad Professor, Danilo Plessow (Motor City Drum Ensemble), Peaking Lights and Tolouse Low Trax. Unusually, the remixes were released before the original tracks, paving the way for the songs in their original form to be unveiled only now. Sensible Soccers are André Simão, Hugo Gomes, Manuel Justo and Sérgio Freitas, and will perform at Theatro Circo joined on stage by João Nuno Vilaça.
