The Son
Following the international success of ‘The Father’, Brazilian director Léo Stefanini presents ‘The Son’, by award-winning French playwright Florian Zeller, an intense reflection on family, adolescence and mental health.
Performed by Maria Flor, Gabriel Braga Nunes, Bruna Miglioranza and Andreas Trotta, the play follows Nicolas, a 16-year-old boy struggling with severe depression following his parents’ separation. Through silence, vulnerability and attempts at reconnection, The Son explores the complexities of family relationships and the emotional challenges faced by today’s youth.
Staged in more than 20 countries and adapted for the screen, the production has become one of the most impactful works of contemporary theatre.
