Vitorino, Janita, João Paulo Esteves da Silva com Grupo de Cantadores do Redondo
Moda Impura
More than a decade after the creation of one of the most unique projects in contemporary Portuguese music, Moda Impura returns to the stage for a special performance at Theatro Circo.
Conceived by Vitorino Salomé and Janita Salomé, Moda Impura was born from the encounter between Alentejo folk singing and the writings of António Lobo Antunes, in a bold musical reinterpretation that brought together the voices of the Grupo de Cantadores do Redondo with the literary works of one of the greatest writers in the Portuguese language. The project established itself as a celebration of living tradition, demonstrating that this folk singing can engage with modernity without losing its identity.
In this concert, the iconic songs of Moda Impura will be revisited by Vitorino, Janita, the Cantadores do Redondo, and João Paulo Esteves da Silva, whose pianistic sensibility adds new colors and depth to this musical universe.
The show is part of the Clube Raiz programme.
