O Duelo e Outras Histórias

Two men are arguing in a distant, cold country.
They have been arguing for so long that they no longer remember why they started. To settle the matter once and for all, and because they have given up trying to find a real solution, they decide to have a duel. As in every duel, standing back to back, each of them begins by counting out one hundred steps before turning around to fire.
1, 2, 3, 4… Off they go, moving further apart.
We follow one of them, but at a certain point we find ourselves wondering: where is he going?
This is a performance about arguments, conflicts and wars, but above all about peace, inspired by O Duelo by Inês Viegas Oliveira, A Manta by Isabel Minhós Martins, and Daqui Ninguém Passa by Isabel Minhós Martins, with illustrations by Bernardo P. Carvalho.
The performance was presented at Theatro Circo’s Small Auditorium on 15 March 2025, as part of the Braga 25 Portuguese Capital of Culture programme.
