ORU KAMI

ORU KAMI starts with the act of folding paper — a gesture that takes shape, the sound produced by the paper, and the image that is manipulated. Inspired by the Japanese art of origami, this performance creates a universe in which the simplest things reveal themselves as essential, where each fold holds a secret, each shape a meaning, and each sheet a message waiting to be unravelled. In ORU KAMI, music emerges as a thread connecting the visible and the invisible; starting from silence, it weaves soundscapes through an intimate aesthetic that, like paper, unfolds between verbal and non-verbal language.

Each origami carries within it the possibility of being offered, made to be given, and so ORU KAMI also creates a space for intergenerational sharing, where small paper figures carry great invisible gifts, offered with the delicacy of those who know that what is essential cannot be spoken — it is folded, shared and felt.
