David Fonseca

Over his 25-year career, David Fonseca has become recognized for his unique performances, blending music with various other art forms. In 2026, the man who is currently one of Portugal’s greatest and most creative artists presents a concept that is at least unusual, and whose starting point is simple: how does David Fonseca’s mind work?

Building on this question, the artist invites the audience on a musical and visual journey through the intricate, absurd and thrilling world of his ideas – exploring how they interconnect and transform into songs. Screens, objects, a real bicycle, phone calls to strangers, instruments containing songs, forgotten letters, and VHS films, anything can emerge on stage at any moment.

A musical show that unfolds into the fantastical and abstract realm of creativity, revealing an artist’s invisible tools and how they come together to create songs. Personal stories, unexpected experiences, comedy and tragedy in unison in an concert that promises to be unforgettable.
