Flying Too Close to the Sun is an interdisciplinary project that brings together architecture, visual arts, theatre, music and dance in a shared process of exploration and collective imagination.

In this workshop, participants are invited to reflect on the concept of freedom through our relationship with space, particularly the experience of inhabiting domestic environments.

Starting from The Poor Little Rich Man (1900), by the renowned architect Adolf Loos, a leading figure of Viennese Modernism, participants create a scenographic environment that becomes the stage for a series of actions structured around the story, which is ultimately brought to life through performance.

This project is a collaboration between choreographer and dancer Sara Garcia and architect Hugo Barros (atelierdacosta), with the participation of musician Xavier Nunes.
