In the shadow of official reports
with Nina Laisné
Why approach historical archives from the perspective of our contemporary world? What do the marginal and resistant identities that have remained in the shadow of official accounts tell us? How can we prolong a traditional gesture in a context that is not that of its origin, without disconnecting from its roots? These are some of the questions that guide the research of Nina Laisné, a French multidisciplinary artist. Through her deep knowledge of Hispanic cultures, Laisné places oral traditions and ancestral stories at the center of her art, creating a scenic space that welcomes both forms of utopias and collective wounds. In this masterclass preceding her show Como una baguala oscura, Nina Laisné will share some aspects of her creative process, between live performance, cinema, and visual arts.
The cycle Formas de Fazer offers a series of activities parallel to the shows to create a space for sharing practices, methodologies, and ways of working among artists and collectives visiting Theatro Circo. Aimed at students, professionals, and amateurs in the performing arts, the project promotes workshops, masterclasses, and exhibition sessions, providing an environment for sharing experiences and new learning.
