Sérgio Freitas – a musician from Braga – presents the result of an artistic residency in co-production with Theatro Circo. This project focuses on the continuation of his solo work, which debuted with the album gandulo (2022). A notable presence in the Portuguese music scene, Sérgio Freitas is a member of Sensible Soccers and co-founder of the record label Meifumado Fonogramas. Renowned for his prolific career spanning more than two decades, he made a name for himself with Zany Dislexic Band, of which he was a founding member, as well as for his live and studio work with bands such as Mind da Gap, Old Jerusalem, We Trust and PZ (with whom he continues to play). Now, assuming his alter ego serge fritz, he adopts a hybrid approach between piano and synthesizers. On stage, this show serves as a research territory for gandulo‘s successor, allowing him to revisit themes and explore new material. This presentation is a sharing of his creative journey – a journey of doubts, coincidences and imperfections – and at the same time a refinement of ideas for future compositions.
