Contraponto | The Gavin Bryars Ensemble
Gavin Bryars, acclaimed for his transition from jazz bassist to pioneering minimalist composer, known for iconic works and diverse collaborations across music andarts disciplines, premieres at Theatro Circo with musicians from the Espinho Music Academy and Calouste Gulbenkian Conservatory in Braga.
Contraponto is a cycle dedicated to 20th and 21st century composition, where we invite local, national and international ensembles and composers to guide us through the music of one of the most fertile periods in terms of new ideas and forms.
