With the question “Is the end of life the end of love?” as its starting point, Theatro Circo hosts a sensitive show by Mohamed El Khatib, who invites us to meet our elders to talk about love stories.

The play confronts ageing, social perceptions and the worn-out body, but celebrates the persistence of love and, surprisingly, desire. In a reinvented sexuality, free from pressure, we find our own rhythm, a fragile but intensely real intimacy. Mohamed El Khatib, an author and director renowned for his intimate and social epics at the crossroads of performance, literature and cinema, weaves this narrative based on encounters and interviews with elderly people from all walks of life. The result is a multifaceted portrait of love in old age: nostalgic, but above all, an inspiring promise that desire can nestle in the fragility of life until the very last moment.
